I personally source the highest quality woods I can find in manufacturing my boards. All woods are food safe, glue where used is food safe and waterproof and all boards are finished with a natural, food safe worktop oil.
Purple heart is naturally occuring but may darken over time. You can delay this by avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
